WHY JOIN THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION ?

WHY JOIN TH FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION ?

The whole ‘ plundering’ game is quiet apparent now . It is becoming clearer by the day, over past several months .Thanks to newspapers like "The Hindu".

India is bleeding . The heart of India has been stabbed . Indians have  been taken for a massive ride ......over the past 7-8 years atleast -all in the name of Economic Liberalization . Corporates fund the Politicians . Every five years , a government is then elected , after sourcing money from big business .(See the latest elections that is on : 42 crores cash siezed in TN alone in past 2 weeks by the ECI) ‘Paid news’  in the media  hoodwinks the voting public .  In return for the favour ,  the Govt then frames Policies favouring the Corporates to loot . The Corporates and Politicians together plunder  the nation and the loot is transferred to  tax havens through agents . PM and team turns a blind eye to the wholesale loot of the nations wealth and resources . Finance Minister refuses to probe the black-money generation that has reached 50% of GDP  and instead gives alibis stating  ‘national security?’ and treaties with tax havens  prevent tax haven account names from being divulged.  But same time the FM  legalises  the illegitimate wealth in foreign banks to be returned unquestioned into the country through back door as PNs ( Promissory Notes). It  boosts stock market , the real estate prices and helps hoarders hoard  essential commodities to raise prices . The Corporates and Politicians buy up the media . The media  ensures “ Rising India’ and ‘India shining’ is portrayed  everyday  to a gullible Indian public . A few glitzy malls ;branded shops and showrooms for Bentley / Ferrari/ topend cars are opened up in the cities to show “India has arrived”. India also becomes biggest market for private jets , with the bugeoning illegitimate funds being generated  . Far from upholding  its progressive values ,a frenzy of greed and ambition is unleashed among the educated middle class ,  diverting  attention from politics and  the wholesale national looting going on. Meanwhile every democratic institution in the country and process is undermined by the ruling party including the office of the CVC ,  to ensure the looting is undetecetd and the guilty can never  be convicted , tried or jailed . The journalists are patronised and find the new found  ‘political clout’ and ‘social status ‘ too attractive and give up all values of traditional journalism. Some are even awarded the Padmashri for writing on behalf of one party. The landmark PCI ( Press Council of India )report on 'Paid News '- a most important document for the survival of DEMOCRACY in India ,  is pushed under the carpet by the media owners and even disappears from the PCI official website .The fourth-pillar of democracy is also undermined !!The rot is complete .

Like all good things have to come to an end ,  for the looters , the  looting became too brazen ....and reached astronomical sums .........undermining even national security ........and that too all in the name of “benefit for the common man” .Illegal outflows from the country grow exponentially .In just five years from 2004-08 alone, the country lost roughly Rs.4.3 lakh crores to such outflows (GFI report). Same money returned through backdoor and mafias started controlling everything , even upto vegetable prices  . Inflation and prices shot up.  Survival for common man becomes difficult , while “INDIA SHINING “  is projected . The remnants of ethical media in India woke up finally . An exasperated  Supreme Court stepped in and even asked the Govt/PM  “what the hell is going on in this country ?“.

Truly there was only deception at the heart of ‘Rising India “. Indians were being take for a ride by our elected representatives , Corporates and Journalists nexus .

Scams are now getting purged into the open everyday  about the unbelievable loot thats been happening over the past few years .Astronomical sums !!  But the problem is the scamsters cant be booked  or sent to jail . The reluctance of the PM to listen to the voices of the masses and the media is unbelievable and agaisnt ‘the spirit of representation in a Democratic  countrys political system’ .  Instead the Prime Minister's Office  deplorably, continues to influence investigations informally apart from exercising formal administrative control of investigative bodies like the CBI and ED ( Enforcement Directorate). Not one tainted Minister , bureaucrat or Corporate big-wig is nailed nor illegitamte wealth confiscated . So cynical & hope-less the public become about the impartiality and seriousness with which corruption cases against the rich and the powerful are probed by the Govt institutions , that hardly an eyebrow is raised when the judiciary instead ofthe executive arm of Govt  starts actively monitoring the investigation in such cases. Truth that would never have emerged but for the prodding from the Courts, emerges . 2G, CWG, ADARSH , CVC case , all spill out into the open . The nation is shocked and anger simmers across the country .

The looting in India was in no  different from what was happening in the middle-east countries. There it was dictatorship by 1 family that was looting - here it was an Oligarchy ( a state run by a minority for benefit of a minority ) or Political Dictatorship doing the same !! A pattern emerging in the functioning of the PM and some of his senior ministers is  not to  listen to sane voices from the intelligentsia and the media , but  continue using the resources at their command to justify the wrongs commited (  calling  it error-of-judgement ; ‘PM was misled’ etc ) and protect the guilty , thereby seriously damaging the nation and its future  .  A PM  may  not be personally corrupt, but clear attempts to cover up for the possible corruption of other people  in his team makes him equally culpable.

The public now wants a Jan Lok Pal bill be passed to ensure the corruption cases can be investigated agaisnt the 'rich & powerful' ; the guilty can be tried and jailed without interference by the Govt .The Govt machinery does not want this to happen . Why ? For obvious reasons !.

The nation must now wake up to this truth if it hasnt already . Thanks to newspapers like “The Hindu”, the Outlook " etc  for publishing  wonderful articles at the right moment  to make the public aware . The revolution in India has started .  WE NEED AN INDEPENDENT INSTITUTION TO INVESTIGATE & FIGHT CORRUPTION . If not now , when ? If not you , who ? Every patriotic Indian must act ......atleast for the sake of our  next generation . If you cant participate physically , atleast speak up at every opportunity and every forum ; forward mails , join Twitter and Facebook groups working for this cause .
